International

Flags.jpg These are exciting times for the IACP with regards to our international efforts. IACP membership now represents 101 countries. IACP's objective is to enhance the quality of law enforcement and policing at the international level. We do this by facilitating the exchange of ideas, procedures, and specific information for professional leadership and management within police agencies. In the past couple of years, the IACP has used its international energies to combat terrorism, drug trafficking, and other criminal activities that cross national borders.

Essential to the IACP's success as a global organization are the close, cooperative relationships that are maintained with other international organizations. We currently hold observer status with INTERPOL and consultative status with the United Nations. Our World Regional Offices are key elements in expanding and maintaining these cooperative relationships.
